h80i led issue

Hello guys

I've had this cooler since March this year without any major issues, i stopped using the link software as it didn't control the fans speed which is now controlled by a seperate fan controller. Noticed today the corsair pump led was i shade of green. :confused:

I reinstalled the link software and tried to change the led colour, it will only produce green or red.

I have a feeling ive lost the white led in the pump.. What worries me what next will go.

Has anyone else experienced the same issue. Will rma as its within warrenty

You've lost the blue portion of the LED (red+green+blue=white)

Yep that makes sense.. Will rma before the pump eventually goes.

The LED's got nothing to do with the pump.

But if you don't like losing the colors, RMA it.

That's probably true but it could be a fault with the motor circuit that is putting high voltage transients through the LEDs. It is unusual for LEDs to just fail as they are generally very reliable if driven correctly.

Would definitely RMA.

While under warranty i'd RMA it if you have a temp cooler to put back on.

Yes i thought it was strange.. will swap to the standard cooler.. Have read a lot about these h80i failing, its a shame really looks good in my pc

I had the H100i version and within a week the LED's packed up altogether. Ended up swapping it out for the Corsair H110 with the bigger radiator and bigger fans and none of this LED's nonsense.
