Hi guys just installed my cooler downloaded the latest corsair link on website and nothin shows up on the programs no fans or pump cant change the lights nothing ive tried everything nothin works im using windows 8.1 im clueless

Hi you are not alone ..... :)

I upgraded to this version and had a few issues so I worked my way back through the SW updates until I got a version that worked for me and I ended up back at 2.4.5110 this was still a newer version than I was running so happy days, to do this you need to remove the latest SW and delete the install folder as well then install version 2.4.5110 from here :-

There was also an update firm wear for the H80i 1.07 and you may well need this for the latest SW to work with the H80i I am not sure but I have updated to 1.07 and everything works as it did.

I would remove the current install first and then from a cold boot install the older version once installed click on options tab at the top of the corsair link window then the Device tab on the left you should see your H80i listed then click on the down arrow to the left of it there you should see your current FW version.
 
It can sometimes be a pain to update as well. I had the same issues on 8.1 and it took me a few tries to get the software to work correctly. Not had any issues since I got it sorted!
 
ok guys ive managed to get it showing up now thank god.
now with my 3770k on 3.8ghz slight overclock on idle im getting 40c and full load im getting around 90-95c with the cooling set on balanced.
even if I set it on to performance mode and fans set to full blast the temps only drop 2-3c are these temps normal?
 
that does sound Hi ... right now my CPU temp is 29c and my pc has been on for 4 hours ... also did you go back to an older version of the link SW ??
 
o god.. well I used an older vrsion of the corsair link which it detected my pump and everything then it updated to the newest 1. so that part everything is ok.
seated erm.. the backplate is on properly its tight theres no looseness
the pump is seated I think properly all thumb screws are in it was a bit fiddly to start with trying to screw it all in so maybe the thermal paste is messed up?
im really not sure
 
What is the RPM setting on the pump and what profile do you have the fans set to and you have checked that you have put the fans on the right way ?? use a bit of tissue paper to make sure they are both going the same way if you are unclear.
 
My rpm setting right now is 2177 rpm
Both my fans atm are set to balanced but even if i try maximum speed or high performance the temps hardly change on my small overclock of 3.8
