H80i temps?

I've had my h80i for about 2 months now. I've been monitoring the temps at idle and on load.

I used to have the h50 before I upgraded. Never had a problem with overclocking my CPU to 3.2ghz (using the default overclocking profile settings). I used to be able to get 3.8ghz easy using custom settings.

But with the h80 I can't seem to get any stable temps. Currently I sit around 50-54 on idle. If I run prime it just goes straight up to over 90.

Has anyone else experienced these problems?

Thanks.

Sure you have mounted the block properly? Check its screwed down tight.

Also how are your fans setup? Would be helpful if you posted a picture of your pc particularly how the h80 is setup.

I have mounted it just like my old one exactly the same. I did leave the pre-applied thermal paste on it as I didn't buy any like I did my old one.

I got told to setup the fans to push the air from the outside through the radiator and into the case. I got 3 fans at the top to send the flow out the top.

I got the coolermaster cosmos 1100 case.

Have you checked the pump speed?
Both fans are blowing in the same direction and are not working against each other right?

Also be double sure its screwed down tightly.

Might be worth re doing the paste too

also is that a kink in the pipe?

Ive circled what looks like a kinked pipe

You may be able to sort that by flipping the rad upside down so the pipes are are the top instead of the bottom

That fan on the picture is blowing in.. very unusual.

Did you put the backplate on correctly? There is only one way to mount it properly, with the indent facing upwards. That way you get the best fit.

Either your fans are screw'd, or you mounted it wrong. Do a remound.

Mount the fans so the arrow on the fan is facing to the back of the case

Ok I'll give that a go.

I've switched the fans around to blow the air out of the case instead of in and its working great now.

Idle is down to 30-40 and at 100% load sitting solid about high 60-touching 70. It used to go way over 90 before within a few minutes*.

Thanks for the help everyone.
