Oxy, OpenSUSE is KDE based do you think OpenSUSE is poor because of this? The reason I ask is I'm considering going for OpenSUSE.
I haven't tried opensuse since 10.0, which was in 05 or early 06 i think. I only tried gnome as well.
I didn;t get on with yast back then, Its kinda not fair for me to comment on opensuse current version, theres a lot of love for opensuse with kde4, I think the devs at suse alter it a lot to get it to work.
My experience with KDE4.2 qnd kdemod 4.2 this week has been a bad one. Sadly all the hearsay on the internet in my opnion is true. KDE4 is still not fit to use.
Opensuse 11.3 may run perfect with all the edits they do. Burn a liveCD and give it a whirl. Let us now how it runs, Iw ould be interested to know tbh.

I also hear mandriva is good with KDe4, a lot of people are saying that Kubuntu 8.10 as come on leaps and bounds, I tried kubuntu 7.10 and 8.04, and they stank, hence my reluctance to try again.
I love arch to much now, especially pacman and the wiki pages
PS: opensuse do a gnome liveCD to
