Hacking group Lulzsec plans to attack Brink players

Yeah I mean when walking down my street and seeing all the open windows in I go, just to make the point your home security sucks.

There are others way of doing it, this is not one of them.

Is your street full of companies that make money?

Bethesda posted on their blog about an intrusion over the weekend:

Bethesda said:
Over the past weekend, a hacker group attempted an unlawful intrusion of our websites to gain access to data. We believe we have taken appropriate action to protect our data against these attacks. While no personal financial information or credit card data was obtained, the hackers may have gained access to some user names, email addresses, and/or passwords. As a precaution, we recommend that all our fans immediately change passwords on all our sites — including our community forums and the statistics site we maintain for Brink players.

If your username/email address/password is similar to what you use on other sites, we recommend changing the password at those sites as well.
As we don’t know what further plans the hackers may have, we suggest that you keep an eye out for suspicious emails and account activity.

We regret any inconvenience that these attacks on us cause for you. These attacks will be evaluated to determine if there are any additional protections we might take that would be prudent.

LULZ are getting out of hand. It started with good intentions but it seems to have gone to their heads, power trip. There is a limited number of times you can get away with what they do. When they get caught either they get jobs with the security services or banged up. And in jail they going to find other people who do things for the lulz, it anit pc's they hack but underpants:)

I played brink (unfortunatley!) but how would hackers get my password (i'm not signed up to bethesda's site or brink stats page) is there still a risk?

I would say no from the data they release to the public so far but if they really do have player data how much use would this be to them without access to ps3/xbox profile data such as credit cards. I would see no reason that any game company should have access to this information as both consoles pay in "tokens"

atleast they had some kind of backing/comical support from the community when they were hitting sony but now they are just out to get lulz....

DOS attacks are just lame and pointless. Im up for shaming big companys poor excuse for security aslong as I could belive they were only doing it for that reason.

these guys are morons, wow bravo taking down minecraft which was basically made by one guy and eve although massive isnt exactly a massive corporation like sony
