So since i joined nord vpn and had some various remote sessions on my pc. I kept getting hacked remotely.
I recently scanned for viruses and found 19 trojans on my system (never once went on porn) and 56 password protected files.
I went on the location of those protected files and found old photos of myself , credit card photos etc.
Anyone know what i should do in this instance? I felt quite vunerable when i saw all that old data on a new machine.?

credit card photos? Do you know what device the photos came from? Also, is the folder in question generated from the viruses or is it a system folder?

Nothing to do with nordvpn though.

I would do the following:
1 - completely wipe the PC and do a fresh install
2 - change your email password, and set up 2FA
3 - Report your cards as compromised to your bank so that the current cards are blocked and new ones are issued.
4 - start changing remaining passwords on whichever sites you use, set up 2FA on any site that supports it. Now is a great time to have a look at a password manager
5 - sign up for credit alerts so that you know if anyone takes out a loan in your name for example.
6 - keep an eye on your banking balances

Everytime i try to go on a website 80% of the time the page crashes. Games etc.
Also i had an issue where when i was installing drivers for my mobo i was having issues.
But thanks for the advice some personal old data on this machine.
Someone has issues looks like.

Also am worried that while my pc is reformatted and am downloading drivers or antivirus i will be targeted again during that period.
If you use windows 11 (which is fine these days) windows security (showing my age ,defender) is ok. you will be ok, most internet conx are behind NAT, you may want to reset router to defaults as it could be back door'ed. Win 10 key works with 11....

Ok thanks
Is there anything i can do to target the hacker?
As they are a constant threat it looks like?
Keep Calm & Carry on - Make sure you have backups - Once in a while use the media creation tool from microsoft to create a usb bootable disk that you can rebuild from (but not from your current pc thats dodgy)

I am serious.
I have reformatted. The internet browser opened a lot, i restarted its ok now. But as for trying to install intel ethernet lan adapters. I now have the error. "cannot install drivers, no intel adapters are present. I am quite sure this didnt happen in the previous reformat procedure.

"A driver AsIO.sys is detecting this as a vulnerable driver and blocking it from loading, youll need to adjust your settings to load this driver"
