Had a crash - need to check what I have to do

Hi all,

Had a bike crash on sunday, I'll post a thread with all the details once insurance is sorted.

However I just want to make sure I've done everything I'm suposed to do. I have TPFT insurance. The bike was recovered to a holding yard, and ive got that back at my house now. Ive notified insurance who are sending a claim form, and have got incident numbers and police officer names, as I was not in a state to get witness details at the scene. I'll be taking the bike to a mechanics tomorrow to get it assesed.

Is there anythign else I need to do? As far as I can see, once its been assesed I need to wait for the insurance companies to work out who was at fault. I'm in the dark mostly however, as I wasnt able to talk to anyone at the scene - will the police need to interview me? Will I find out what all the witnesses said? Do I wait for the police to contact me?

Right, bikes been to mechanics and got thier verdict on it, I guess i now need to get that in writing and send it off to the insurance company who will refer me to a solicitor. Right?
