just added up the mileage I have done on the bike while i have been off work and its 2277 miles lol
its not like I have been anywhere in particular for most of it, it just get on the bike and going for a blast.
im halfway into the 11th tank of fuel, worst mpg was 58, best was 64 not that I was trying to get good mpg, I was just riding it till I hit reserve.

Well I've just done around 130 miles with the missus on and all the luggage, probably around 30st all in and used about a tenners worth of juice.
Versys 650.

I would think with that weight on you would close to the load limit of the bike would you not?

A Versys 650 has a load limit of 397 lbs.

That's enough for a can of coke and a packet of crisps!

I'm way down around 28mpg in town, with the best being upper 40s doing distance.
However, I'm on a very old 1200cc carburetted engine with awesome performance, so I don't exactly pay too much attention to the fuel economy!!

I know they have crap SWL but figured that most things carry a 5:1 safety factor built in so in effect could carry a further 5 stone (ish) so more like 33 stone max.

I only put £10 in a time when it hits reserve, usually takes me to 80-90 miles then reserve will take me to 105 miles

yours seems better on fuel than mine tho

the 243 miles on the last tank, I hadn't even hit reserve, but was passing my fav shell garage not far from me.
I like to full up so I know I don't need to stop to often

air cooled 8 valve motor and smaller 32mm carbs on mine help a lot
not sure what carbs yours has but id guess about 36mm
