Had an accident. What to do nxt?

Basically yesterday was the worst night ever. We were crossing the road and suddenly got hit on the rear passenger door (driver side). thankfully me, my dad and the other driver were safe aside from the shock and bruises

Fast forward to today

called the insurance this morning and got it sorted i think. Anyway my question is what are we going to do with the police? They just took our details and copied the driving license details on the spot of the accident before we went to the hospital. After that nothing, no calls or what so ever.

Should we head to the police station or just wait for them?

OT but pics of the car? if a few of you ended up in hospital, i expect it was pretty epic!

thats one of the problems i think we were all pretty much shaken that none of us remembered to take photos but iirc i saw the police taking pictures before the ambulance door closed. we ended up in the hospital but in a non emergency.
it was pretty epic experience but at the same very terrible lol

If it's anything like the crash I had you will probably find you just get a call from the police a few days later explaining they arent taking it any further and leave the insurance companies to deal with it.

If someone was in the wrong and the police want to pursue it they will contact you.

if the police decide there was a wrong doing do they contact you immediately or it all depends to them ?

We thought about that as well but we are slightly worried that it could be used against us for some reason. I guess there is only one way to find out

Yea, i know we are at loss since we crossed but hey it already happened and wasnt intentional

ive decided to try to talk to a solicitor before contacting the police. all this legal stuff is making me more worried lol
