I'm receiving a replacement BenQ today, which I'm thinking of sticking straight in my original box and selling it (past my RMA date with OcUK) and getting a HZ23W...
Do bear in mind though that the 23" S-IPS panel is an older model than the bigger ones used (as can be seen from the 16ms response time quoted in the specs). IIRC LG-Philips are phasing out the 23" panels in favour of 24" as everybody else has standardised on that.
It's the same panel used in the 23" ACD, so have a gander at one of those (most mac stores have one up that you could drag some windows around to get a feel of the response time).
Well, bravo - from what I can see, having the sharpness shoot through the roof upon switching to hdmi/composite is a feature that benq decided to add and thus I am selling my FP241W.
I'm totally tempted
And I'm not that bothered by ghosting as I hardly do any really fast paced gaming (fastest is probably playing Burnout) and from what I see the HZ23W has a marginally shorter lag time than the BenQ which would be a bigger issue... curse you, slow motion crashes...
Could I get your email address or something so I can grill you about it?
Hm? If you're asking me if I've checked the new BenQ then yeah, it was fine, but I have to go into the menu and turn down the sharpness every time i switch inputs (except DVI). I really don't see the point in that, my friend has a more recent and cheaper model and they haven't done the same with that one. Shame nobody replied to any of my questions as to whether it happens with their FP241Ws
