Had one of my google accounts passwords changed, is there anything else I can do?

This morning I received an email to my main email account telling me that my password for one of my old google accounts has been changed from a Russian IP and that if it wasn't me who changed the password that I would need to follow the steps to reset the password again and recover my account. Fair enough, I followed the steps to reset the password as you normally do only to be told that I cannot send a reset confirmation to my main email because the google account that has been stolen has seen login activity within the past 4 days (i.e this morning when the password was changed by someone else), so I have to provide them with more information to confirm that I am actually the owner of the account.

This is where it became problematic because it's asking questions I don't have the answers for such as what date was the account created (no idea since it was originally a youtube account converted to a google account accidentally, so which date it wants I don't know) and when was the last time the account was accessed (by me I don't remember, by someone else it was this morning so again I have no clue which answer it wants).

I've tried filling out this information over a dozen times with guesses at the different dates with no success, the option to send a reset password verification email is greyed out and isn't selectable due to the above reason of someone logging into the account this morning (need 4 days of inactivity to send the reset email for some reason), I've tried looking over the google help section only for every option to just redirect me back to the automated password recovery, which isn't working for the above reasons.

I'm out of ideas now, the simplest solution is just to let me request the damn password reset email so I can reset the password, but it won't allow it(I understand why, but it's frustrating non the less). It's not really an important account, but just the idea of some stranger using it doesn't sit well with me so I would just rather get the account back and shut it down.

So what I'm really asking am I out of luck? Or is there something else I can try that I'm just not thinking of?
