I pinged oakley europe an email stating that my flak jacket lenses had started to peal and that I wanted to buy some new ones. Immidate reply saying it shouldn't happen and did I have proof of purchase, forwarded them my orinigal order email and they couriered a new set for free. Chuffed to bits. Can't speak more highly of their demeanor and speed of their communication.

Any other good experiences out there?

No doubt someone will mention Logitech...

Funny you should mention that. Not me but my Dad

He had a G7 which developed a problem with the left click, would double click everytime you clicked. Fire off an email to Logitech who had a new mouse out to him within a couple of days no questions asked

Apple, new iPod Classic 160G when I took in a 80G on the spot.
Toyota, free courtesy car for even minor work done.
TRYP hotel in New York, free room upgrade, free chocolates.
Premier Inn, their money back guarantee with a good night sleep is true.

Logitech, Amazon UK

+1

Costco also have great customer service. Ive heard from a number of friends that theyve had stuff break well after a year and taken them back to Costco - theyve not quibbled and given them a cash refund :)

Apple swapping water damaged iPhone once after it ended up in a pool.

Sky last week, fibre broadband went down, rang, answered instantly, English bloke, tried loads to fix on phone then got Bt out the very next morning. Have filled in customer surgery betting them £5 it won't get read, let's see if I get a response because I'm convinced no one reads the feed back.

Benfield Alfa Romeo for me. Excellent updates on the car when I had it in for work. Great treatment in the showroom off the guys there. Sadly had no faith in the car itself so as soon as warranty was up it went.

I was at least a year out of warranty with some Mackie SRM450 PA speakers that cost about £900 a pair and I'd had lots of problems with them since purchase date.
I wrote to Mackie asking if I could trade them in for the MKIIs that cost about £1300 a pair thinking they would tell me to do one and they suggested a straight swap.

Amazon for me. My TV stopped working at just under 2 years old and after a quick chat and a little convincing I had a new TV of the same value delivered next day. They even gave me an extra £25 to purchase packing materials to return the old and TV and then collected it.

Amazon UK, Bought some Sennheiser pc360's, They broke 9 months later so they sent me a new pair (Didn't request old pair back) then refunded me in full for the first pair a couple of days later (£150).. must have been an error but I've heard nothing since and this was back in July.

:D

One of my friends works for Oakley, she loves the place. It's apparently a fantastic company to work for, and that always reflects in the customer service.

Local independent carpet shop gave me dozens of their full samples to take home for a week. After ordering they refused to take a deposit as they like to trust people. Two nice gents fitted the carpet and only when I was happy with the workmanship was I expected to pay.

Their attitude has resulted in two recommendations from me to friends.

Tagan, still pops into my mind, when if you remember a few of their PSU's had that "clicking" noise.

Send one out next day delivery and collection for the old one...

Oakley are amazing. A mate sat on his glasses a few years ago and wrote to Oakley to see if they would fix them. They just sent him a new pair for free.

For me, it is when Orange just started up. I broke my phone in a rather stupid manner and called them up at 10pm. They delivered a replacement at 1am, 3 hours later. A guy just turned up in a car with a brand new and took the old one away! There was no insurance and it was my fault (though I did not allude to that).
