wasnt expecting that to be honest, torque pretty good to :D

fare amount of cars where down on power on the day which made the result even better e.g blob eye sti @ 256bhp for example.

New shape STI hit 276bhp on the button.

all fun in a 800kg car

Did you spend the day giggling like a pair of school girls?

Nice figures, i always tell everyone wanting a cheap track car that there not gunna get better value for money than an XR2 with an RST lump. They are one of a handful of cars that will get all four wheels off the ground at Oulton Park too :D

No reason why he couldnt get a few more horses very cheap either!

Has it got the original lump in it?

How many XR2's came with turbo's? :p im pretty sure he has previously said its an S2 RST lump.

Ive had two previously and ran them into the ground, would happily take another one tomorrow if i could

edited.

I didn't know he had a different lump in there, thats why I asked...

edit again: didn't notice that it says TURBO on the printout lol

Notice the two plots have different scales, the first is torque and pressure (presumably manifold pressure) against RPM, the second is power and air/fuel ratio against RPM. Doesn't explain the two different powers though.

Good old Alan Jeffrey, did he manage to blow anything up during the day?

AFAIK S_HP is "shaft horsepower" which is the estimated flywheel power.

ops sorry guys, top one is atw figure with torque/psi plot and the bottom one is the guess flywheel figure plot+ afr :)

standard series 2 rs turbo lump with raised boost+chip

did the run on the lower boost setting as the high boost holds more boost at the higher revs, just playing it safe.

still runs on 13" wheels so kinda fun trying to get power down.

They should use the gear closest to 1:1, which for a large amount of cars is fourth, though as Steve pointed out to me last time it isn't always fourth :)

What colour is it btw?

Actually can't of been this one I saw down the sea front as I think I saw it today, but it was spinning the wheels in the first few gears :) So he was either slipping the clutch to show off or it wasn't a standard lump :P

I'd love something like that for a bit of fun :)
