Had to give up using Chrome on work PC

Have used Chrome for years on my PC in work but in recent months it's become almost impossible to use.

It just randomly doesn't open anything. Sometimes it will give only a blank screen, sometimes it will get as far as partially loading a page and sometimes it works fine. There is no pattern to it.

I've tried resetting Chrome, tried turning off the few extensions that are running, looked online for answers all of which have not stopped it from playing up.

Anyone ever had this with Chrome? It's only on one machine I have this issue (Win10 all updated etc)

it's more likely to be an issue with the machine than just chrome if it's fine everywhere else.

What are the specs of the machine? Chrome updated to the latest version?
Drivers all updated?

Any other random issues on that machine?

Uninstall it completely as well as all extensions. Find and delete your chrome profile folder and start again.

If the addons are essential for work try installing Brave broswer (it supports chrome addons) and see if that has the same issues.

First things first... find out if it's an issue with Chrome specifically or your machine. You can download and run Chrome Portable (https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/google_chrome_portable) without affecting your main Chrome installation. If Chrome Portable runs fine then it's not your machine and you should consider a complete reinstallation of Chrome.

(Better yet, switch to Firefox!)
