Tending to be right.
I woke yesterday with little vision, cataracts in left eye, some occlusion in right. Specsavers were great referring to hospital, no a and e. Hospital was great, out in two hours. Still can see little but more tests today. Probable cataracts removal later, aooear to have has a minor stroke. Good luck all.

Well things are looking up (down and sideways). My cataract opp is booked for Monday 24th so I will have one fully seeing eye, subject to passing a pre-op tomorrow. The eye that was zapped by the aneurism is still partially sighted and I can read large print books with a slight difficulty. i may be back on the pushbike in a a couple of weeks or so.

I did consider having a private opp but the NHS have done a good timely treatment over the past few weeks although they may have outsourced the op, they often do for cataracts I believe.

There are people far worse off than me. I append this thread as a timeline, when things turnaround a bit. It is gratifying to have best wishes, I shall pass them on in due course. I don't think that I will drive or at least until I get full eyesight with glasses. I had hardly a day off work before retirement. Then there was the prostate, then covid, then this aneurism, getting old is a bummer.
:)
