Haggis Curry

You can get deep fried haggis balls from virtually any takeaway in Scotland though.
Really? None of the chippies in my town do them :p They do battered fried haggis pudding though. None of this wee jessie balls rubbish, a great big fat pudding :D

Hehe! Sounds good. Almost every takeaway I went to in Edinburgh had them though. Perhaps I was generalising too much!

When I made Haggis on Burns night, my wife (who is a Filipino) had hers with some rice and the condiment of fish sauce with crushed chillis. They have a dish over there similar to haggis, called Sisig. It comes on a sizzling plate with onions and some spices.

It does say something about the chippies in Scotland that I now assume that haggis' default state is battered and deep fried (entire, no stupid balls).

I can't remember there ever being a time in my life when haggis hasn't been on the menu in them, along with burgers, pizzas, pies etc.

I always find haggis pakora tasty so I can't imagine haggis curry being bad (surely it would be similar to a mince curry?), but I wouldn't be eating it out of a tin!

haggis pakora is amazing! went to a class at mr singhs india to make it...mmmmm
haggis curry isn't going to be far off a keema surely? if i see it, i'm gonna buy it!

this si what I was thinking..it would be just like keema in rice

you could do Haggis pilau

in theory you could put it in other dishes that simply use mince

I cook a lovely bolognese but use the sausage meat from good quality toulouse sausages..just split them when raw and fry up the meat..same with pork and chorizo sausages..just makes a nice change

49% lamb lobes... Mmm...
