Considering a Hahnel Giga T Pro II Wireless Remote Control for start trails & maybe some wildlife remote photography. Any views on this unit?

I have this unit for mine. The one major annoyance I have is that the remote unit itself switches off after about 1 minute of not being used. Apparently this is something that may be "fixed" on version 3. Other than that, it seems okay with a decent range. You can run several receivers off the one remote (if you need to). I've not had a real chance to get out an play with it yet though. If you don't have a remote yet, I would maybe suggest getting one of the cheap wired remotes from the rainforest. I have both and still use both depending on how I feel.

Ok I was thinking in getting this for time lapse type shots + star trails which can be easily done with a cheaper wired type intervalometer. I thought the additional investment would be good to setup the camera for some bird shots (feeders in the garden) then fire off the shots remotely, but if it turns itself off after a minute that sounds like a no go?
