Hailer 32" HDTV £600 - Good buy?

After finding a few user reviews online I think I'm going to go for it. Was looking at 26" LCDs earlier (which are in the £600 price bracket) and they just dont look big enough. The 32" look just right.
Will pop up a review once it arrives.

Hey mate, I bet I can guess where your getting this from. I got mine last week, and for the price im pretty impressed, picture quality's good, maybe a little weak off scart, but the DVI quality is excellent, running HDTV off my pc now.
Now just gotta get an XBox 360 Premium as HDTV will look prety damn good on it.

Got this TV today, initial reactions and impressions (will do a review with piccys once my 360 turns up and I can steal my GFs camera)

Very solidly put together, plastic doesn't creek or feel cheap.
Only tested image quality via DVI and its fantastic, very bright viberant colours with no ghosting.
Sound is pretty good for a 2 speaker system, about to watch the matrix so I will have a better idea after that.
Menus etc are easy to use, can do PIP, pause an image and various other pretty pointless things.

All in all, seems a very good TV for the money. Since the DVI picture quality is good, I'd imagine the image with the 360 will be very good also. If you are looking for a cheapish TV to use with your xbox, Id say this looks a good option.

Watch this space for better review

Just as an update from me, got my Xbox 360 last weekend and hae been running it trough the component input. The picture quality in 720p is very sharp, with no ghosting, so very impressed a tthe price. Getting it to that did take a while to setup though, playing around with the picture settings.

Still think its normal inputs such as scart are a little weak, and maybe the speakers could be a little better, but DVI (from my pc) and component look fantastic. Very impressed at the price.

be wary of buying a rebadged HDTV that you haven't actually seen.

Seen some absolute stinkers lately

Not rebadged as far as i know, pretty sure Haier is a fairly established Chinese brand. Any more updates on this telly as i'm interested in one myself, seen a review which said the sound was a bit weak? How's it look in 1080i?

The sound could deffinately do with some seperate speaker imho, its nott hats its bad compared to anormal tv, just with it being connected to my pc, when i watch film the pc's sound card usually trys to throw too much base at it, and the speakers crackle very early.

1080i looks fine to me (though nothing to compare it too really), though as XBOX 360 games are all meant to be in 720P, i hink that still looks a bit better to me.

Got any pics of a normal source showing, ie terrestrial sky etc? Trying to get ready to buy,but theres some crazy differences in quality on normal sources. Figure if it's not bad for £600 you can't really go wrong, otherwise there's a videoseven one i can get for 700.
