half life 2 help

I am stuck near the end of the sandtraps level of half life 2, were you have to shoot the two space ships out the sky so you can go through the hole in the big boiler tank thing, anyway i have found a cheat to spawn me in the next level nova prospekt but i am unable to get the console to come up when i press the ~ key, anyone got any idea's i need the help.

options>keybord>advanced>enable developers console and its not the ~ its the ` key (the one to the left of the number 1/ above tab)

just type sv_cheats 1

Then Buddha, into console that way you're health wont drop below 1hp and you wont miss cut scenes/story like spawning.

Dude, is there a particular reason NOT to shoot them out of the sky? There's a crate of infinite rockets - use it.

I manage to shoot one of them down but the other always kills me before i can shoot it out the sky. Did not want to cheat but had so many goes at it now.

use the laser sight so your rockets can trace the ships, if you didn't already know.

but there's loads of cover to hide behind. i'm guessing you're being impatient and just aren't waiting for the right time to come out and shoot......

Doesn't have ep1 or ep2 though so from there you'll be on your own.

Use the laser-sight to move your rockets in a spiral to stop the ships shooting them down.

Or just play on easy mode. You'll be able to just soak up the damage. Whenever I play on easy, I can't be bothered to hide behind cover, I just stand in the open and hurl missiles at them, knowing there will be more than enough medkits to patch me up later on.
