swear i saw a thread not too long ago about half-life 2 high res pack or something ?

anyone got any more info on this, might play the game again

yeah^ that one is nice

i'm not too keen on the music they use though, it seems a little too dramatic but the textures are nice, and hopefully they will carry one releasing these packs until they redo almost everything.

Apart from characters eyes faces look a lot better.

I have AGP 6800GT 256mb, 1 GB ram, 200GB SATA Audigy 2zs with 5.1 spdif speakers and AMD 3500...I have never played HL2 in fear of the stutter bug, and I've only got ADSL. I would love to play this game with that texture pack, but would it play on my system, and how would Hl" without mods but just patches, well how would that play on my system? Also is that stutter bug fixed yet as that's a big worry for me.

It should play fine on that system, my 3000 skt754, 1.5gig ram, Audigy 2 ZS, x800xtpe play it fine - and thats at 1600x1200

I never had the 'stutter' bug so i can't comment but i don't think you'd have a problem

used to have the same gfx card as you and could play 1600x1200 or 1920x1200 WS 16:10 allday with no stutter. HL2 can be heavily tweaked in the default game menus to achieve the perfect FPS for your system. The stuttering was caused by a sound issue.
