Half Life 2 Mods

Cinematic Mod is on its way, Almost 10gb though! Makes me wish virgin weren't ****holes and limited my speed after only 1.5gb per day.

From what I've found, Minerva is just a seperate story basically? Might give it a go.

Yeah its mostly sort of graphical and gameplay mods that get me the most. But after playing through the game I'll most probably want more gameplay.

Played it through on the Xbox, Then got it again on the PC, Much better even without mods.

I've never understood garrys mod, Is it a standalone or do I need HL2 installed? I'll probably get that aswell, Have a play with it.

all the SMODs are pretty cool - basically hl but with loads of custom weapons and characters -- best one so far is SMOD Outbreak, lots of zombies and new guns!

Here are the ones i've downloaded, but I haven't played all of them. They're meant to all be good.

Cinematic Mod 10
Combine Destiny
Dear Esther
HL2: Riot Act
Hiiden: Source
Korsakovia
MINERVA: Metastasis

I am interested in the HL2 cinematic mod, I've never tried any of them before.

Can someone recommend which version would likely be best for my system? I gather the newer ones do not work properly or at all on XP 32, which I am using? Also my graphics card only has 512MB. Specs are Q6600, 9600GT and 4GB (well 3.25).

I did try to download one of the older cinematic mods from filefront but the download failed for some reason, and it seems only the newer ones have torrents for them.

Cinematic Mod 5-10 are only available for 64 bit systems, However they do look amaizing.

So that leaves you with 1-4, And out of those ones, The later the better, So get 4.

Okay cheers. I did try and download that one before from filefront, cm4full.rar which is 3.2 gigs. The download was erratic and it finished at around 2 gigs, and the archive was understandably corrupt as it hadn't downloaded all of it. Are there any alternative download hosts that anyone knows of?
