Half-Life 2 Problem!

Hey all.

Just installed Half-Life 2 for the first time, however i've got a bit of a problem. When I get the pistol, my ammo doesn't appear to display on the HUD properly. All I get is a semi-clear box with the top of the first digit in it, almost like it's only rendering a quarter or a half of what it should.

Any ideas?

Happened to me the first time I tried to play EP2... I think I set the resolution to something else then reset it to what I wanted it and restarted steam. Fixed it.

12 hour HL2 binge *** (with a 1 hour break).
