Half Life 2

Hey

Just reinstalled half life 2 after not playing it since it came out many years ago, i had forgotten just how good this game is. Mainly posting to encourage some of you to have another blast at playing through it again, its fun

I may have to tbh. It is a terrific game, I just can't wait for Episode 3 to come out.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, I did have another go playing it through a couple of months ago. But I got such bad motion sickness and I had to go and lie down for a bit... Haven't played since. :/

I played through it again recently myself and yes it's still one of the best single player FPS games ever, and the graphics still look great today in my opinion.

I've enjoyed the game.

The textures do look a bit dated, but with the cinematic mods the textures and sound are fantastic!

During the summer drought i went through a period of replaying all the best games in history. The ones that still shone ever so brightly even today would be FFVII, Grim Fandango, Half Life, Dungeon Keeper and Half life 2, it's actually been one of the best summers of gaming i've ever had.

People should replay the classics more often, if only to remind themselves how good games can be.

Yeah I played through HL2, Ep1 and Ep2 again recently, they definately stand the test of time. Roll on Ep3 and Black Mesa

HL2 was good though imo it, like Doom3, was a greater technical achievement e.g. the engine, rather than the games. I thought the episode packs for HL2 were excellent though.

IMO HL2 was a great game - Doom 3 was merely an engine and the game was medicore.

My main problem is that i have recently completed fallout3 and i keep trying to raid the dead bodies to find caps and items

Loved it too but didn't get the same buzz as I did with the original. Played it with cinematic mod too and was good just the sexed up model of Alyx kept annoying me.

I havn't finshed any of the half lifes, something i need to get around to doing i think, i got distracted by tf2.

HL2 is awesome, i jus finished ep1. I will start on ep 2 once i get a connection to my main computer. Ep2 won't run on my netbook

I think I've played it through at least 3 time, generally every time I got a new gfx card.
