They probably hoping for a technological breakthrough that allows them to instantly import their own thoughts onto screen. The only way for them to release it in less than 5 years

A full length Half Life 3! I hope they use a more modern engine though, Source is showing its age now.

That article link doesn't explicitly say Half Life 3 though, it just says there will be more HL games after Ep3. That could mean anything.

when making a joke or pun it is important that the items relate in some way, Beckham aint from Birmingham or anywhere with a silly accent and if you are going to then mention a place name, why is the fact that it is Beckham important, also when did people in Birmingham start saying

How are they going to make up for the travesty that is HL2?
Half life- one of the greatest games ever.
Half life 2- Toilet.

Lets hope someone reminds them to make a game this time.

both half life 1 and 2 where amazing games in their own right. Half life 2 is one of the very few sequels that is as good as the first game (avp2 being another good example) unlike travesties like deux ex 2 and co which where complete baba

I must be really weird. Everyone keeps saying this but IMO since they updated it for Ep2, Source is now one of the best engines out there.

Anyways, for HL3 I hope they have a new main boss enemy/threat and involve Gman more. Kind of like a movie and most other games out there that have a new threat and main enemy with each installment.

most overrated series in existence EVER.......

best game ever for me is a game which unites freeform gameplay with a brilliant story and that provides scope for uniquely different ways of playing. Hasnt "really" been done yet - but names that are higher than hl on my list include stuff like Deus Ex, KOTR and Elite.

at the end of the day HL and all its demonic offspring are just fps shooters. 80 ish percent tops.
