Half Life: Source

Just downloaded this and i'm having fun re-playing Half Life 1 in the newer Source engine.

Looks better than the original but doesn't seem to include the high defenition pack. Can the pack be applied to Half Life: Source or can it only be applied to the origional?

The Hi-Def pack can only be applied to the original games I'm afraid. There may or may not be some mods out there for Half-Life: Source, but if you're a patient person, then just wait for Black Mesa: Source to appear

I played HL2 before HL1 and so when i went to play HL1 i was really put off by the poor graphics

(yes i know graphics don't make a game etc) but i found it difficult to enjoy.

Black Mesa Source is indeed starting to look very interesting and is what i'm waiting for to play through the HL1 story.

I totally forgot about black messa, not been many updates on this for a long time. Though i hope it does get a release.

No updates because they've had some problems recently. Have a look on their news section to find out more. TBH i don't mind the wait for this mod. It's a complete overhaul of HL1 and so you can only expect that it will take a long time to finish. It should be worth the wait hopefully.

Well from the screenies its looking very good! Hope it plays as well as it looks.
