half life: source

What is the different between Half life Original and Half life Source? is it just the game engine but the graphics are the same? If it was my first time playing through half life 1(which is it), would i be best to stay with the original or get the source version.

the only differences im aware of is it has hl2 physics and hl2 water, thats bout it. look for black mesa source, its a complete overhaul of hl1 in source engine, meaning improved graphics etc

Yup, its just Half Life but using the same engine as Half life 2, Episode 1, Counter Strike: Source etc. I dont think it would be worth purchasing it if you have already played Half Life. (You should get it free if you own all the HL series. IMO)

i havent played half life 1, im just about to buy it on steam though, just want to know which one to get.

nah its not. but o well, ive bought half life: source, looks pretty much identilcal to the original except the physics and water.
