I just loaded CM10 up, seemed to work fine with the update.Though I only loaded up a recent save and closed it down again.currently playing through all the hl2's with the latest cinematic mod (at ep2 now) and i refuse to allow these updates through for fear of them borking the install

In the opening area there's a newspaper sitting on one of the benches with the alphanumeric code ep3101010 printed on it.
Obvious reference to the imminent release of Episode 3.

This is probably the start of marketing for EP3 possibly? No idea, they will not tell us, but it is long overdue!
Can't even remember what happens in the eps, at least this gives me a reason to replay all them again when the new ep hits.
I remember when they said eps would come out every couple of months and the media screaming episode gaming is the future, what a crock of crap that turned out to be. Actually prefer it this way, hated the idea of having to buy a few hours of game play packages every month or two.

Half Life 2 is old now, episode 3 should be the thing they're concentrating on, not the previous versions.
They're not currently, but i'm saying instead of updating graphics and other bits and bobs for current episodes, why not use that time to come up with an idea for Episode 3 and start the development.

No doubt about it, but it's fine the way it is and their effort in updates for HL2 could be used for the final episode.

Maybe the graphical updates were developed for episode 3 so they thought they would stick them in all of half life 2 content ?
I meant : Didn't think they were going to make EP3. Fullstop.
