half way through install of XP?

Hi guys,

got a mate's computer here, he's started reinstalling windows due to a virus, but then realised he hadnt got something off he needed so asked me to recover some of the data

On slaving it up I can see the file structure as you'd expect

Documents n Settings
Program Files
Windows
etc etc ...

Is there anyway I can now cancel this reinstall and just use the original windows and just get rid of the virus as i cant be assed to reinstall windows for him

there is a way to recover the data but the service is expensive because he would/should've formatted the disc at the start. its probably a lot quicker and easier to just reinstall windows.

you still can recover some data if it hasnt been written over even if its been formatted....cant remember the name of the programme but there should be a few that can do the job.
