This is a stupendous deal. If you pay on a card make sure that card is registered for in store cash back at Halfords too!

Oh yeah forgot about that..an extra 3% cashback if you purchase with a card registered for Quidco In-Store cashback.

Halfords do take an eternity to cough up but they do always seem to pay out so it's worth it for the extra little discount.
 
Just picked mine up and am very impressed so far. Seems to have a good selection of just about everything the DIYer should need, all in one place.

£80 well spent I'd say :)
 
Ordered a set...I have a right hodge podge of tools at the moment, this set will do nicely :)

To be fair you can get 1/2 and 3/8 reducer pack for £5 in halfords.

The older kit was nicer, had more 1/2 drive 6 sided sockets. But these are okay.

Shame the cases are made of cheese :p

Please could someone with this tool set check whether the included 15mm spanner has the Halfords Advanced branding on it. The 15mm spanner which came with my set is branded Craftsman evolv, which doesn't seem right being the only piece in the whole set with this on.

Take it back and ask them to swap it for a single 15mm, that isn't right.

My tools are the Pro series, with some Advanced mixed in for some. I get everything else at motorfactors now, they are cheap for big tools.
 
I can say for definite, as these are the only spanners I have, shame on me. I guess I'll have to make a trip to Halfords in the next day or so, hopefully they will just swap it without question.

The Halfords Advanced stuff will be a generic tool stamped with their branding, the Craftsman one in your set is probably identical but slipped through the net from a previous run. I'd take it back and get them to swap it out though, just in case you want to claim on the warranty at a later date.
 
Interesting though, the Craftsman Evolv seems to be Sears mid-range tool brand, with Craftsman Professional being the highest quality range.
