Halfords Advanced Professional 150 Piece Socket & Ratchet Spanner Set

The Halford's professional range does get rave reviews. And I believe that if any socket fails, you just take it to a store and they replace it on the spot - lifetime guarantee.

They sure can take abuse, got a mixture of Snap On, Mac, Halfords and Britool in my work tools and the only time I've had to get a warranty replacement was on the 12" breaker bar.

Good deal that, certainly a decent set to have at home/in the garage.

I bought mine a few years back. Only problems I've had is the case is quite weak - mine's split and is falling apart, and the catches don't really work very well. The small bits (in the red case) have also corroded somewhat but still seem to work. Everything else is top notch though.

Tempted to get another one at this price - can be useful to have two of the same thing sometimes.

There fantastic, all you need if your not a professional not the cheapest you can buy but that nice middle ground for decent stuff that will last.

Had mine for a few years now. Still all going strong. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone who needs a range of wrenching sticks that will last more than 5 minutes.

Hmm really tempted by this. I have a couple of Halfords socket sets which I'm really impressed with. Would be nice to have basically everything I need in one place.

Have reserved one at my local Halfords. Thinking about whether I should pick it up or not. It's a lot of money, but a really good deal. Also comes with spark plug sockets!

doesn't matter if it was a web only price(I don't believe it is though as it doesn't say it on there site), as you can reserve it and pay in store anyway

Good as it is beware there are some imperial sized socket arrays in there which you'll never use. (unless you're into restoration of classic Brit bikes etc)...

I used to have the smaller brother to this set. VERY good set. At the price above, it's a steal.

As long as you keep the receipt (which of course will fade and be illegible thus meaning they don't replace the tool which is stamped with their branding)

Tools good, guarantee take with a pinch of salt ime.

Stick the receipt in an envelope and store away? It won't fade. It's what I did.

I have the 170 piece kit and a few large sockets aside its pretty much everything youll ever need for working on bikes.

Good quality and a warranty. Hard to beat

also you could scan it and staple the real one to it
put it somewhere safe n cool, if it does fade you still have a scan of it.

Good idea.

My toolset from halfords got nicked... Left it out front once by mistake after working on my car.

Annoying.

Carboots starting up next month, will just grab a cheap set then.
