halfords lifetime guarantee

Hi guys, I bought some halfords tools a few years ago and I killed the 1/4 inch ratchet yesterday. Am I right in thinking the mechanism is not covered but they are replaceable?

Ratchet mechs aren't covered but they sell the rebuild kits cheaply

Ok cheers, the daft thing is it's only been used half a dozen times. Guess I should have used a bigger ratchet.

never damaged a ratchet but as above not covered and they sell rebuild kits ... yer comment about using the right size for job is a fair one as to much load on the 3/8 will easily break them

It wasn't even I big bolt. I was doing some work on my car and it was only an m6. I'm quiate ashamed of myself, altho the bolts had seiezed quite tight.

So do I just take the recipt and the ratchet and they swap the ratchet?
