My computer chair padding has compressed to nothing after only two years use. This has been the average life of every computer chair I've had over the years. Thought I'd look for a proper memory foam cushion to sit on top of the pad this time rather than tryng bog standard cushions which never really last, or ultimately binning the chair.

Found the above on google discounted from £28.99 to £9.99. Just bought one, 4" thick and it is fantastic, feels like a brand new chair again and hopefully will last a long while before getting that permanent compress normal padding always gets. It's designed for wheelchairs so is a reasonable size too.

Search google for "memory foam cushion" scroll down to the Halfords link.

Your arse will thank you for it if your chair is knackered like mine.

Thanks, that's worth a punt for a tenner... says the man sitting on a pillow. I wish this 12 year old chair would break, then I could justify replacing it. :-)

All the memory foam products I've met have always had a distinctive whiff. But nothing noticeable in normal use.

Nice post fella, just checked and my local halfords has them in stock, off to buy now, been after something like this at a reasonable price for ages :)

As for the smell, maybe the reviewers noses are to close to thier ass's ? just a thought.

You have restored my faith in GD maybe it's soul will be saved yet ...

Tell us what you weigh. Endorsements are null and void if you're a goddam hippo.

I'm 13 stone, but tbh your statement doesn't really stand up to a basic logic check if you think about it. A hippo would make a good endorser of a cushion wouldn't they, unless I'm reading you wrong and you're saying that because you yourself are a hippo, my endorsement as a normal weight person is of no use to you?

Looks like the cushion I've had for my wheelchair, still got 2 in fact. Very comfortable. IIRC the inner foam is wrapped in film, which I guess is in case you wet yourself. So should be good for gamers. :p

Mission accomplished, good bargain thanks to OP for heads up :)

Given my old tatty chair a new lease on life plus more comfy on my legs, makes them just the right height for me sitting at the PC for many hours.

Oh no smell that reaches 3ft or so up to my nose :p
