Just done an Oil and filter change, 5w40 Fully Synthetic for £30.

Had some vouchers before anyone crys :p Anyone know who make this oil. It's probably identical to a leading brand anyway.

Cheers

Is it running now Si?
Yeah thank god :) Nice to have some power under my right foot again

Fitted a good standard rear engine mount rather than the solid roversport one, engine is so much quieter and doesn't vibrate the car! Much nicer when in traffic.

I changed took two engines out and fitted this one back in without injury. Changing the oil last night I gashed my finger open! :(

Cheers for the link Fett, looks like a decent oil. This ester oil stuff seems a bit overhyped to me anyway, it was originally developed for gas turbine engines!

Superb - quite the greasemonkey aren't you? :)

What's the score with mapping now? Which ECU are you using?

Will it hit 300bhp then? :D

Wouldn't worry about the OE EM - really only need uprating if you think there's a risk of cracking the exahust system. Only reason I had mine done was to protect the one piece 4-2-1. Shame after all that effort I creased it at 2mph on my driveway. :o

No need talking to me about oil - a couple of friends sort me out for race oil in 25ltr barrels 4 beer money. Will remain nameless but thank you guys very much. :)

No need to get to worried about Sunday :p standard Ecu for now. Haven't made a harness for the new ECU. Might just hit 300 on the standard injectors, but will need some bigger ones.

I'll be running 13psi again so will be similar spec to my engine before, apart from the extra 24cc (2044cc capacity now).

So 13psi makes 260hp, I don't wanna guess what 25psi would make

F M! :D

Shame you can't bring it in 300bhp form. Still, 260bhp will be plenty fun enough, and at least it's nice to know that the car is going to be capable of some scary amounts of power just in time for Spring & dry roads.

Mine will get it's final modification in 3 months (280bhp), and that's it - I'm not doing any more with it. Bleeding money pit.

Yeah, every morning I get up and look for those dry roads, haven't found any yet :(

280, nice :D Whats that modification then?

Just the cams now for 280bhp & 9200rpm limit, dont think FI suits the car, or my pocket :p

Plenty of dry roads out there

Sunday evenings is my tyre squeeling time. Off to Redditch - no camera's, lovely roads. More than welcome.

I went out last night to bed my brakes in - bone dry roads in Worcestershire!
