Halfords tools

Halfords sockets, ratchets, spanners etc are great with a lifetime warranty (and chap on trade card).

For air tools i use Axminster, equally well priced (probably better) and much better quality.

I bought an air hammer from Halfords (needed it quickly to get some annoying tiles up) and it's great.

However if you can wait I'd order online.

This is very true, i do love my 6 sided Stanley professional set!!

im working on a 26 year old porker at the moment, the crank pulley is held on by a 27mm bolt thats meant to be done to 290nm.

i didnt think a breakerbar with an exhaust over it (making it 4ft long) could bend so far. i think a 12 sided socket would have failed.

for smaller corroded things, 6 sided sockets are far more reliable. i wouldnt use anything else.

halfords stuff is good VFM though

Indeed, the halfords stuff is very good quality for the cash and i've got a boatload of it, roller shutter cabinets et all, but in terms of the OP and airtools unless you need it ASAP i don't see the point paying a huge premium for the halfords air tool gear since you can get the same far cheaper from E-bay or Machine Mart :)

That reminds me i need some 6 sided sockets!

i'd imagine the air tools, if they are of similar quality, are very good. had a socket set from Halfords for about 10years and lots of screwdrivers and not broke one. wrench is the omly iffy thing but that works 99% of the time. considering i raced for 6 years they must have done their job. :)
