Halifax Problems?

Anyone else having problems drawing out money from their Halifax accounts, none of the cash machines around here are giving out money - though it still works as a debit card. There where tons of people in my halifax trying to draw out cash from the front desk.

I wonder if they've been haxor'd?

It's a nationwide (not the building society) issue with Halifax and, I think RBS cards/machines.

Something to do with a power failure at their IT centre in Yorkshire. Rather makes you wonder why there isn't some more substantial redundant supplies in place. Someone is going to get a kicking for this...

Chip and pin is ok but i tried my card at abbey and a few others it wouldn't work, Went to a branch and there was a few people moaning someone had missed there train because of it, all cash machines in branch down.

I was just checking mine then bam 'suspended from online banking' something about there online monitoring software picking out my activity as suspicious wth

I had that, a month or so ago. Halifax seems to always have problems with their online service.

I had both my debit card and an online funds transfer rejected on Wednesday, not sure if that's related to this IT failure.

I bet they took it all down on purpose whilst someone went with a begging cap to the government for a nice, but secret, tax payer handout.

I got a taxi into work today and couldn't get an atm to pay the guy with and now i have to meet him after work to pay him, screw you HBOS!
