After the success of the latest movie these were a certainty, seems like these 2 will be the last of Carpenters involvement closing it out....for a few years at least.

Seems this second movie is set on the same night as the previous one, Jamie Lee Curtis put up a short clip online showing some of whats going on (image above taken from it).

The 2018 was pretty boring (apart from some amusing irrelevant dialogue) so will give these a miss.

What did you find boring about it? They had to revisit the characters after 40 years etc, i thought it was paced pretty well and showed how the events of the first movie took its toll.

It’s effectively a remake of the first film and whilst the first film is ‘important’ it’s been wildly outclassed since by other horror films in terms of plot / depth. There just isn’t much they can do with it.

Michael has to be one of the most boring villains there is. And we have seen him do the whole escape and go stabbing people rampage many times now.

Plus, the 2018 version didn’t have LL Cool J :p

I must be in a minority in that I really quite enjoyed this after the abortion of Zombies sequel. I did enjoy his first Halloween flick though.

Same here, though i thought the first of zombies halloweens wasn't bad. The second basically became friday the 13th with Michael taking orders from his dead mother. How nobody caught onto that during the making of the movie is a bit strange. Just seemed to be a cheesy way for his wife to earn a pay cheque.
