Whats everyone got planned this year ? Picked up a couple of pumpkins earlier, will do them with the kids tomorrow. Costumes so far -

Two year old -

Four year old -

Me -

I'm going to be Gomez Addams off of the Addams family.

Will get a double use out of the fancy dress because it's a Halloween day in work tomorrow and then we're going to a Halloween party on Saturday. Grown a beard and will shave it off leaving a tash.

Also got a.big fake cigar.

I know koolpc is just baiting for a juicy friday OCuk catch and i am all for it tbh, i love these threads. Having said that there are people that sincerely believe the bait he is using.

Two women in my office told me this week that they really dont do Halloween. I asked if there was any particular reason and they said they were Christian. I swear the UK and US are the only places where people consider it to be anti-christian (despite the fact they love it there). My father is from the Philippines (Most Catholic country outside Europe) and there they celebrate for several days their ancestors and loved ones who have passed by placing lit candles. You have like a feast and get together to talk about them, the kids play with masks and stuff.

Even in origin it is not an evil or bad ritual and the holiday of celebrating the dead was adopted by Christians to convert non Christians who honoured the dead on this day, some modern Christians seem to shut their eyes and pull their bed covers over their heads for the night as if just wearing a mask would send them to hell.

I will be going to a Halloween party as 'The former artist, Formerly known as Prince'. Pics can go up Saturday.

I mean, pathetic that people have to dress up for an evil ritual!

You realise Halloween is as much as a Christian festival as it is pagan don't you? :p

Perhaps you'd be more comfortable if people went out dressed as priests, although that would probably be just as scary to any parents of young boys who are out trick or treating...

For a devout Christian who is tolerant and accepting f others, you're very vocal about anything that happens outside of your little bubble of reality.

Can we get some proper Christians on here to drown this guy out? Pretty sure most won't agree with his archaic beliefs.

A devout Christian that cheated on his wife (while she was having a cancer scare iirc) and was banned about 15 times from the talkphotography forums for scamming people without dupe accounts.

I really wouldn't take him seriously.

Great costumes :)

Yeah he is just fishing, although i am somewhat disappointed. A subtler hand could have stirred up some real thread action.

Any master pumpkin carvers here? I'm terrible but am a deft hand in the kitchen when it comes to dealing with pumpkins.
