What do they actually do?

I have a slight sore throat and a friend recommended HALLS Soothers.

Now i just thought that they were normal sweets. Also on the packet it doesn't mention anything about helping to relieve colds or sore throats.

So what do they do?

I think it's pretty much just the menthol in it that provides the 'relief' that disguises your sore throat, nothing really fancy in it.

Yes, I had 3 in about 30 seconds and thought id stop before i went to the shop to buy a box of them.

They're nice, and I suppose it's mostly a placebo effect, but the gooey center does often make your throat nice and...gooey.

not really, I wouldnt have it as a "sweet", as a remedy.
