Halo 2 on XP?

Can you play Halo 2 if you only have XP, all the versions i've seen are for vista...are there any workarounds, official or otherwise that enable the vista version on xp?

I did have it on xbox, but I hate, hate, HATE fps with controllers so only played the first level.

IIR there was a work around for XP.

Yes there is a way to get it running on XP, don't waste your time trying though.

You can use a workaround to get it running on xp though you cant play online. Its better and easier with a controller though (due to autoaim).

Not fussed about playing online, just wanna play through the sp. Does the controller give you autoaim...if so, not interested...as I think I said above, I hate fps with a controller, it's the devils work, he he!

You do get a patch for it if you google halo 2 xp patch theres plenty of them there. but a lot of them are P2P methods if your willing to do it that way

Be careful when searching for / downloading the fix. Speaking from experience, it took a while before I found one that worked 100% and was clean (no virus / spyware etc). But it DOES work and I enjoyed Halo 2 on XP. You don’t miss out on anything from a graphical perspective; it looked exactly the same when compared to my friend’s VISTA install.

Oh and I didn't notice any autoaiming.

Does Halo 2 on XP support co-op?

As per Gears of War, co-op can make even bad games enjoyable..

Co-op was canned for the PC port. Guess that would have required too much effort :rolleyes:
