Also its prolly better to wait for a service pack or 2 to iron out any problems before buying.
In fairness I tried Vista Beta 2 for a couple of weeks and it was a lot more stable than I was expecting, it played games without a problem too.

The reason I won't upgrade until 2008 is simply because I can't justify spending triple digits on an OS that does exactly what my current one does faster.

There's Vista RC1 soon.

it's a shame halo 2 only works on vista though.. :(

dont think someone is going to think, im going to get vista for halo2.... thats like the most stupid reason ever lol

surely people will be like right halo 2 has been and gone, bring on halo3 :p

Perhaps a cunning MS ploy?

Give them a game which is nearly identical to the Xbox 360 version after lots of hype about how good Vista will be for games.
Average Joe says "bah, nothing in it, I may aswell buy an Xbox 360 for gaming!".
MS now have Average Joe using their Vista OS AND with an Xbox.

Can't quite explain it that well.

Some morons are already considering buying Vista just to run Crysis in DirectX 10 mode.

No offense morons.
