Halo 2 (PC)

Halo 1 was good at first (i played on pc) but got very boring, very quickly imo.. Im not even gonna give Halo 2 a glance for this reason tbh...

I played and really enjoyed Halo1 on PC. Got an X-Box 360 and played Halo 2 on it. Not as good as Halo 1 but i still enjoyed it and would rate it as one of the better FPS games that i've played.

I've never owned a xbox and thus never played halo2. If eurogamer gave it 9 out of 10 because its an "excellent port" and i forked out the money to buy it but then realised that the gameplay is outdated, i would be quite upset at eurogamer for not reviewing the game itself.

If you want a good port, fair enough, however i'm willing to vouch that the vast majority of people would rather game reviews reviewed the game than the quality of the port. Releasing a game this old with so few updates when game like Half life 2 can be bought for less is insane.

Agreed.

We all know what the game is and what it does ffs

Aside from the fact that it's a shooter and the sequel to Halo, I know nothing about it. Wasn't a fan of the original so I haven't been following the game, and I've never used an Xbox.

Played Halo - i thought it was enjoyable.
Found out Halo2 was Vista only & have decided i will not be getting it, as i wont be paying to change to Vista OS anytime soon.

Enjoyed both of them on Xbox 1 and when Halo was released for PC, it was much more fun to play with the mouse and keyboard and enjoy the sharper, higher resolution. I'm hoping Halo 2 will be the same. Not sure how well dual-wielding will work with the mouse but I'll soon find out.

I've given it a whirl. I like the Xbox 360-type interface they're using. I think it fits well as you can always just type "A" and "B" on the keyboard to select things in the menu.

The dual-wielding is a bit of a pain in the arse. I suppose I'll get used to it. The gameplay is a bit boring though. It doesn't seem to have the same "je ne sais quoi" as Halo 1.
