Halo 2 & Shadowrun With Windows XP

Wondering if it is now possible to play Halo 2 and Shadowrun without the need for Windows Vista?

They're still not officially supported by XP but there are ways to run them in XP let's say no more and leave the rest to google.

the Games producer is going to be releasing a compatability patch for the games. whats the problem with that?

Are they worth bothering with though, been told Shadow run is not that great and Halo2 isnt new any more...

as soon as they were released there were unofficial patches that allowed them to run on XP. there's no limitation with XP that meant they couldn't run, Microsoft just wanted to sell some more copies of Vista.
