Halo 2: Vista

Halo was pretty dire the first time round, on the Xbox because FPS simply doesnt work on consoles. And on the PC by the time it came out the graphics were horribly dated and there isnt exactly a lot of storyline or gameplay about it that about 20 other PC titles doesnt already have.

I believe the same holds true for Halo2. Played it on the Xbox, graphics are about 3 years out of date. There is still no storyline or any game play to speak of.

Bottomline: Not touching with a bargepole.
 
Just because you're useless with a control pad doesn't mean we all are :p

I personally don't see the point apart from crisper graphics, the game was designed for consoles and works best on them. The storyline for the first was pretty good, the second pretty much sucked but multiplayer is brilliant.
 
pad vrs mouse...

I place my bets that on a 1v1 the pad controller will get owned hard ;)

Multplayer halo 2 is indeed excellent. A hell of a lot more fun than many pc multiplayer fps's. With a mouse I can see this being a lot of fun.

I dunno, console FPS's always have to give assistance to control pad users.... nah yer right they'd still get pwned.... hard ;)

how would you know if it hasn't come out on the pc. OK maybe it might just be a port, but all i gta say is halo 2 is going to be brilliant. Zanzibar+dual needlers ;)
 
Considering the likes of Crysis and Alan Wake coming out... how anyone can get excited about Halo2 is beyond me.

Farcry which is what - 4 years old? Is far superior to Halo2. Along with HL/HL2/Q4....
 
I could win a 16 player match with 10 more kills than the person in second using just the shotgun on the PC version of halo 1. On halo 2 I can get a headshot with the beam rifle while falling from about 400 feet away :D

Although I haven't played halo 1 on pc for about 2 years so that has probably changed :o

(I will have to add apart from the beam rifle on halo 2 I pretty much suck :/)

I don't get why so many people are looking forward to a game that will be about 3 years old when it's released. Far better (Halo 3) is going to be out a short while after Halo 2 with slightly better visuals.
