Halo Recruit looks utterly terrible

I'm shocked that they would release this in association with such an important franchise.
I know it's just a short introduction to vr, a tech demo. Nothing wrong with that, the Windows headsets will have some vr newbies.
But using vr to simulate a 2 dimensional shooting gallery?!

It looks very much like a rushed launch for MR. I think they planned for the 399 Christmas market before in depth reviews were done. Then Oculus dropped the price.

They have 3d character models in the intro but then don't use them!?
I don't know Halo but I thought that Master Chief would be more imposing.
