Halo Combat Evolved Remaster in UE5 would be amazing.

Halo Infinite probably needed Battle Royale mode to give it more legs, big oversight for that game.

I feel the gameplay probably needs to be faster paced as well (at least online)

and they need to try and conceive of something unique they can offer there.

A good story and campaign is obvious (1-4 player)

I really enjoyed the Halo Infinite campaign and open world, though I did go in with next to no expectations.

The MP didn't keep interested past the month of release.

This studios cooked

Only bit I really agree with is the last 16 seconds, IMO it is perfectly possible to have a problem with firearms in a contemporary setting but producing a product set in a sci-fi one without any significant complications, but not exactly an ideal genre of video game to get into development of as sooner or later you are likely to be involved in products touching on more contemporary settings.

It's almost guaranteed the game will have an anti gun narrative in their somewhere and possibly other nonsense gamers don't want to hear.

Givn half the chance I bet these same people would have no issue working on something like john wick and keeping their mouths shut.

People aren't at companies to push their own opinions, their opinions are irrelevant, if I didn't like guns I'd probably work for someone else other than a studio known for making games with guns and violence.

In the past people used to be able to separate reality from fiction but it seems no longer and people are on some personal crusade to ruin things.
peoples opinions have too much value these days, if I worked at a high profile job and had a twitter account everything on it would be professional and nothing personal to me at all, people don't want to be educated they want to be entertained, but everything is turning into some crusade where reality always has to meet fiction.

Yes a battle royale mode would have given Infinite's multiplayer more legs, but there were many other oversights beside this, see below.

However I disagree about the pace of the gameplay, if you want faster pace then play CoD or CS. The point of halo is a slightly slower pace (longer time-to-kill) that makes engagements slightly more strategic than other FPS games. The pacing in Infinite right now is perfect IMHO.

The MP was a mess at release, buggy, barely any maps, obviously rushed to release by the higher-ups at microsoft and it ruined the game. Infinite is in a great place right now except for lacking playerbase because they botched/rushed the launch. If Infinite had released 6-12 months later with less bugs, more maps, more content, the playbase would not have evaporated a few months after launch the way it did.

Even better, they should have made Infinite on UE5 from the start. Would have solved a bunch of problems.

I say this as someone who has played every Halo game (SP and MP) since CE launched and I still play Infinite regularly now (send me a DM if anyone fancies joining me for social & BTB games, no competitive play from me I'm too old haha).

Maybe 5 years ago, but in today’s world?
Nah.

"Melissa joined Xbox Research in the summer of 2015. After earning her BA in psychology from Spelman College in 2008, Melissa went on to complete her PhD in social psychology and public health from Columbia University. Her research in public health focused on how people’s social interactions influenced their risk for HIV and substance abuse – particularly with African Americans and Latinx folks, LGBTQ+ people, and women – but also how these people’s personal resilience could be developed and supported to help them avoid poor health outcomes."
:D

I'm sure Melissa is focused on bringing all the established Halo fans back for assured profitability, it's impossible not to mess these established franchises up.

Lol.
