Am looking at the Philips Racing Vision GT200 H7 halogen lamps.

Are LEDs any good?

Also, with permanent DRLs, does this mean you burn through "performance" lamps quicker?

Or do I just get whatever from Halfords?

Many thanks.

The Philips Racing and Xtreme vision are good for visibility both seeing and being seen - Philips have a lot of experience with bias lighting, etc. and have put it to use here. You can get variants which last more hours if concerned about burning through them quickly.

Though they aren't ultra white like LEDs if you were wanting them for cosmetic reasons - main beams are fairly white but dipped they have a slight yellowish bias which actually shows up well/cuts through rain and fog, etc. better than standard halogens.

You might have issues with LEDs if your vehicle wasn't designed for them, even the ones with "compatibility" circuits.
