I saw this in a store the other day and it almost came home with me.

Then i though, Hang on it could be just "another" old war film so i left it there.

Anyway i come here to fine out if its any good:)

There are much better war films around although Hamburger Hill was actuallly not too bad. If it was cheap then you might as well pick it up.

Some very good war films you might want to check if you haven't caught them yet are

Assembly
Brotherhood
Days of Glory
We Were Soldiers (despite it coming with a good side order of cheese, the battle scenes are quite good)

Hamburger Hill is an excellant film,. Its often overlooked but it should be in anyones Vietnam War film collection.

Watch it!

Also try....

Casualties of War - Dir Brian De Palma, starring Michael J. Fox, Sean Penn, John C. Reilly, Ving Rhames, Don Harvey.

I found it one of the most disturbing war films i have seen tbh. It's just incredibly graphic, though this was many years ago and i was a lot younger so i may view it differently if i saw it today.

Certainly worth a watch though.

Yep, back when it was released it was one of the most graphically violent Vietnam flicks around. Haven't seen it in yonks, but I do remember it being a very good movie.

Hamburger Hill is a graphic look at the horrors of war, and shows the stubborn stupidity of the yanks..

Excellent movie, well worth a look.
