Just a heads up. Lewis is on The Jonathan Ross Show at 9.45, i hope they speak about Motorsport and F1, I remember when Beckham went on his show a while back and they didnt even mention football

Well that lasted about 5 minutes.

His body language and tone was very sheepish when talking about jenson Ross asked him if he gives tips to jenson for a laugh and lewis replied with "i think hes the one who has to give me tips, hes doing a little better than me at the moment"

Thougght that was a very un Lewis thing to say

was very short compared to the other 2.

you crashed last week
jenson didnt
your girlfriend is hot

cya.

You can't have a decent interview with a person with zero personality, charm or charisma. Plus Rossy isn't exactly the best interviewer in the world, since he's always a "huge fan" of who ever he's talking to.

Hamilton started his F1 career as a big headed ******** and it didn't wash with a lot of the British fans and he's been trying to repair the damage ever since. Now, every opportunity he gets to be humble he uses, but it's always faked and he just comes off worse for it.

Really he should have continued in the same vein he started his F1 career in and he would have become like a British version of a certain Mr M.Schumacher, everyone would have hated him but at least his true personality would be on show to the public instead of this fake humility he's trying to convey to the public.

Lewis seemed a little sheepish and nervous, I don't think Ross got through to him, which is a sign of a poor interviewer. No interesting questions asked, and it was fairly obviously a job on the PR list for Lewis to tick off. That said, I still think Lewis is a nice enough chap, but for the last couple of years, and especially after his telling off this season, it feels as though he's not showing his true colours.

The show did re-affirm my dislike of Jonathan Ross though. His techniques are tired, and his interviews uninteresting. It's just another outlet for the next celeb to promote whatever their managers have told them to do really. Ross is just an irritating personality that they use to setup pointless questions. I much prefer the Graham Norton show they put on the BBC instead, at least he's actually funny and the guests seem a lot more relaxed and upfront.

This is exactly the kind of post that proves that Hamilton can't win whatever he does. Haters will just hate.

People want him to admit fault or that other drivers are doing better than him at the moment - he does it, then people say he doesn't mean it

Hamilton is like Linkin Park, Facebook, and iPhones. Its 'cool' to hate him.

Thankfully I'm not interested in my street cred and trying to look cool infront of my friends, so accept hes a very good driver who has made some mistakes and his personality is just who he is. I wouldn't want him to behave or drive any other way.

But you lot just keep bashing him for everything he says and does. Your playground chums will think your well cool.

I wasn't bashing him as a driver. I commented that one of the reasons the interview with Jonathan Ross was poor was him lacking an interesting personality.

I've never liked him from the first time he came into F1, but I will happily give credit to him when he's been quick on the track.

And say what you like, either he or his management have decided to try an give him a lift in his public personality. The guy who is interviewed now is not the one that was around in 2007.

Management? It is possible he has matured a lot in that time also. He was young when he came into F1 and had a big ego (and a number of other weaknesses that cost him the championship), most of us have been like this at a similar age.

These days he just seems frustrated with the sport (both the FIA and a non-championship winning car) - the FIA are enormously biased when it comes to Hami.

I can see a bit of the Kimi attitude growing in him. Kimi got so fed up of the F1 circus he shunned away from properly interacting with everyone and eventually just walked away from the sport.

I'm not saying Lewis is going to walk away, but I get the feeling hes getting a bit fed up with the media and sponsor requirements McLaren put on him while not providing him with the best car on the grid.

^ Agree with that.

I can imagine similar words were said behind closed doors at McLaren HQ when Hamilton asked for a few weeks off from promo work before the Canadian GP - IIRC.

I can see him walking away though. Especially if he has to endure another couple of years of Red Bull domination.

Any problems he's had with the FIA or the stewards have all been his own doing. It only appears as though they pick on him because he makes slot of mistakes. He does drive with a win or crash attitude, similar to Colin McRae in that respect.

As far as the car is concerned, neither Hamilton or Button have been great at developing or setting up a car. At Brawn it was down to Barrichello to set up the car. Remember the 2007 British GP? Alonso deliberately set the car wrong to disadvantage Hamilton's chances of winning..

He should just concentrate on driving, keep his mouth shut and his nose clean on the track and he might enjoy more success and less criticism.
