My wife pointed out that Nico seems like a different person this year, no longer a whinging loser, I wonder how long Hamilton can keep calm.

Its far too early to make any judgements on whether he has what it takes to beat Lewis this year. The 36 point cushion helps obviously, but he's had exceptional luck so far this year. In Melbourne the red flag and Ferrari's messup handed him the win. In Bahrain both his nearest challengers had issues and in China every car that could have posed a threat had problems. You could have put anyone in that car and they would be in the same position as on the only two real head to heads (qualli in Aus and Bahrain) he came out second best.
It'll be interesting how he copes when Lewis has a normal weekend. In 2014 he was very conservative when he had a points cushion and didn't respond well to pressure. He's spent the last three races time trialling so wouldn't be surprised if he's not quite as fast as he thinks he is.

I did hear on the F1 commentary that they both swapped race personnel, and it looks like Hamilton is getting all of Nico's reliability issues from last year, and thats also played a big part.
So one side of the Merc. garage is less competent than the other? Unlikely.

Facts currently say they are..

He looks stronger and tougher this year because a) he's winning and b) this end of the season has the least pressure.
The real test will come when he's lost a few to Hamilton - both races and some 50/50s going into a corner. Great start to the year for him though. It isn't his fault that everyone else around him is floundering, crashing, can't get off the starting grid or is suffering from unreliability.
