Hammer FID question

I was just havin' a browse round my bios and had a look in 'Hammer FID'.

Startup
x4 800Mhz
x5 1000Mhz
x6 1200Mhz
x7 1400Mhz
x8 1600Mhz
x9 1800Mhz

Now i know that this is my multiplier but i'm wondering why it is set to 'Startup' and not to x9.

Anyone care to explain the reason for this?

Startup is basically the Default multiplyer which happens to be the maximum multiplyer on A64 and Opteron's, on the FX series its there rated speed in Mhz / 200 (roughly)
